A fantastic day had by all I think. 5 Explorer Teams, 2 Network Teams, 3 Pairs and a manic running alongside all day. All teams really entered into the spirit of the race, giving their all and realy trying their best for their Districts. From the quote "did you bring the compass?" at the start of the Orienteering race, to the exclamation that "Mountain biking really is a naff sport", to the herculean efforts taken to get Coops into his spray deck, the day was superb.
The thick clag giving 20m visibility on Windermere led us to bunch up the teams and release them together (so as the Safety Boats could keep an eye on them all), but by the time they arrived at Ferry Nab the weather was clearing, as the pictures will attend.
